The Trinity Square Together mural is an ongoing project that began in October 2024. Every Care for the Square event, we continue to paint a portion of the fence. Imagery is inspired by scenes of the Trinity Square neighborhood and influenced by a local survey I gave at the Taste of Trinity event (hosted by Trinity Square Together) to learn more about people’s perception of the neighborhood and what they would highlight about the area.
The mural features characteristics of the community found in Trinity Square, including iconic places of this corner of Providence. I painted with volunteers from two Care for the Square events hosted by Trinity Square Together and student volunteers from The Wheeler School community service day. I designed and directed this mural with artist assistance from local resident Nancy Hart and arts administrator Christen Makram, both members of Trinity Square Together. Design installation will continue in May 2026.
